This change is expected to speed up the handover process and improve the quality of service. However, in its implementation, there are still various obstacles faced by students.
Aims: This study aims to analyze the obstacles experienced by students in the implementation of self-upload services for scientific papers at the Mulawarman University Library.
Methods: The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn.
Results: The results of the study showed five main obstacles, namely long queues because the service has not been fully carried out online, lack of students' understanding of the upload procedure, limited staff in verifying files, limited computer facilities, and lack of socialization about independent upload services.
Conclusion: The research concludes that self-upload services still face obstacles in terms of systems, human resources, facilities, and socialization. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the system and strengthen services so that the process of uploading scientific papers can run more effectively and optimally.
2026-10-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nor Fani, Muhammad Ajmal https://e-journal.gomit.id/jdsai/article/view/242 Digital Marketing Communication Strategies for Increasing Visitor Numbers at the Radisson Red Izmir Point Bornova Hotel 2026-09-22T09:38:11+07:00 Rani Putri Sia raniputrisia02@gmail.com
Background: In today’s digital age, intense business competition particularly in the hospitality industry is increasingly driving hotels to leverage digital marketing communications more strategically. This trend is evident at the Radisson RED İzmir Point Bornova, which has been in operation for only six months but has already seen a significant increase in the number of guests.
Aims: The purpose of this study is to examine the digital marketing communication strategies used by Radisson RED İzmir Point Bornova to increase visitor numbers, particularly through social media, digital content, customer engagement, and internal coordination.
Methods: This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants include hotel management, the marketing team, and operational staff involved in promotional activities.
Result: The study’s findings indicate that the increase in visitor numbers was driven by four key factors: the use of Instagram and TikTok to expand the hotel’s reach, consistent content posting, direct interaction with customers through digital media, and collaboration between management, the marketing team, and operations.
Conclusion: A consistent and coordinated digital marketing communication strategy helps hotels build brand awareness, reach a wider audience, and increase customer engagement in the early stages of operations
2025-10-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Rani Putri Sia https://e-journal.gomit.id/jdsai/article/view/219 Digital Information Management and Consumer Protection in Electronic Transactions: Evidence from Indonesia 2026-09-24T14:34:49+07:00 Indri Julisyah Sandi indrijulisyah13@gmail.com Moch Nurcholis moch123@gmail.com Adamu Abubakar Muhammad abubakaradamu1980@gmail.com
Background: The development of digital technology has significantly increased the number of online transactions in Indonesia. Despite this convenience, consumers still need to be aware of risks such as non-conforming goods, online fraud, late delivery, and the possibility of personal data leaks.
Aims: This study aims to provide legal protection to consumers from problems arising from online transactions.
Methods: The method used in this study is normative juridical, analyzing laws, scientific journals, and official documents related to online transactions and consumer protection.
Result: The results of this study indicate that protection includes preventive and repressive measures. Preventive protection includes the obligation for business actors to provide accurate information, protect personal data, and ensure the security of electronic systems. Repressive protection is implemented by submitting complaints through internal marketplace services, resolving disputes with the Consumer Protection Agency (BPSK), filing civil lawsuits, and reporting criminal cases to the authorities.
Conclusion: However, the implementation of these protections still faces various problems, such as poor oversight, lack of digital literacy, and limited effectiveness in problem-solving. Consequently, handling of emerging problems is less than significant. However, this research can also contribute to consumer protection policies in the current digital era.
2026-10-05T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Indri Julisyah Sandi, Moch Nurcholis, Adamu Abubakar Muhammad https://e-journal.gomit.id/jdsai/article/view/249 Intercultural Communication Theory A Theoretical Analysis of Islamic Da'wah in a Multicultural Context 2026-09-24T14:55:02+07:00 Hafniati Hafniati hafniatii@uika-bogor.ac.id Muhktar Amiruddin Ahmad Isyqun1982@gmail.com
Background: This study examines intercultural communication theory in relation to Islamic da‘wah within the context of multicultural societies. S pnadya1306@gmail.com Melisa Arisanty melisaarsanty1@gmail.com
Background: Population density and the scarcity of physical play areas compel teenagers to seek alternative social spaces through digital platforms. In this context, Roblox functions not merely as an entertainment medium, but has evolved into a virtual interaction space that enables adolescents to construct and express their social identities.
Aims: This study aims to analyze the formation of virtual social identities among teenage Roblox players in Pekojan Village, West Jakarta, focusing on the role of Collective Compensatory Identity in responding to the limitations of social space in the physical environment.
Methods: The study employs a qualitative approach through the framework of Tajfel and Turner’s Social Identity Theory, alongside the concepts of player embodiment and spatial presence. The analysis centers on teenagers' experiences in utilizing avatars, interacting with other players, and forming group identities within the virtual space of Roblox.
Results: The findings demonstrate that Roblox functions as a virtual social space that compensates for the limitations of physical play areas. The formation of virtual social identity manifests through three primary dimensions: socio-spatial compensation, the establishment of subcultural solidarity through the use of distinct slang and emotes, and tactical adaptation via account adjustments to navigate the platform’s age-restriction regulations.
Conclusion: The study concludes that Roblox serves not merely as a gaming space, but as an alternative environment for adolescents to construct identity, solidarity, and a sense of belonging. A Collective Compensatory Identity is forged through the interplay of avatar representation, social interaction, and adaptive strategies responding to both physical spatial constraints and platform rules.
2026-10-06T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nadya Putri.
